Kenwood Avenue to close overnight Nov. 5-6
The Town of Bethlehem says Kenwood Avenue will close overnight Nov. 5 and 6 for water main and culvert work, with no traffic, including emergency vehicles, allowed through.
The Town of Bethlehem announced Nov. 2 that Kenwood Avenue will be closed overnight on Nov. 5 and Nov. 6 for utility work.
HMA Contracting will shut down Kenwood Avenue between Rockefeller Road and Winne Place from 1900 hours to 0600 hours on both dates to install two water main tie-ins and replace a cross-culvert. No traffic will be able to pass through the closed section during those hours on either date, including emergency traffic.
The town is asking drivers to use Elsmere Avenue and Bender Lane as alternate routes during the closures. If there is inclement weather on Nov. 5, the backup date for that work will be Nov. 9.
